Implementation of dozens of research projects and studies in neuroscience and cognitive neuroscience supported by the Cognitive Sciences & Technologies Council in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences

Dozens of studies and research projects were accomplished by neuroscience group of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences and supported by the Cognitive Sciences & Technologies Council in order to promote and develop neuroscience and utilize the technical and expert knowledge of faculty members and researchers.

Dr. Mohammad Nami, head of neuroscience department of Shiraz University of Medical Sciences, said: In recent years, many of these research projects in the fields of cognitive science and cognitive neuroscience were completed, and now there are several other projects that currently we are working on. Some of these projects have been implemented in cognitive science and neuroscience with the support of the Cognitive Sciences & Technologies Council. He added: These research projects have been implemented in a variety of areas, including stem cells and cognitive functions, attention and concentration, basic and clinical studies of sleep disorders, cognitive rehabilitation, behavioral neuroscience, electrical and optical imaging of the brain, and brain tests.

It is being considered to create the cognitive neuroscience discipline as a Ph.D. program in Shiraz University of Medical Sciences to promote and enhance the knowledge of cognitive science and cognitive neuroscience in scientific and specialized institutes of Fars province, and it needs the support of the Cognitive Sciences & Technologies Council as well.
