The construction of the "Science of Brain" Center began with the initiative and support of the Cognitive Sciences & Technologies Council in Tehran

With the aim of familiarizing people, especially students, with the structure, function and abilities of the brain, and in order to promote and improve the knowledge of cognitive sciences, the construction of the Science of Brain Center began during a ceremony attended by Dr. Kamal Kharrazi, Senior Advisor to the President's Vice President on the development of cognitive science, and Saeed Ohadi, Head of the Cultural and Art Organization of Tehran Municipality, at the Tehran Book Garden. This center is being built with a budget of 12 billion IR Rials, in a 700 square meter field, with the support of Cognitive Sciences & Technologies Council, Scientific advisor of the president, and the Cultural and Art Organization of Tehran Municipality.

Dr. Kharrazi said: This center is being built as the first place to practically introduce the science and function of the brain to people, so that the visitors can learn about the brain and its structure, activities, and the abilities, as a divine gift. He added: the "Science of Brain" center is going to be opened at the same time as the Brain Awareness Week in Iran, on the February 2019.
