New image analysis service in the NBML’s image processing section: Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL)
ASL is a non-invasive MRI imaging technique to quantify perfusion of brain tissue.
ASL is a non-invasive MRI imaging technique to quantify perfusion of brain tissue.
some characteristics of the Arterial Spin Labeling kind of perfusion images:
- Display of variation and staging a lesion on the primarily changes
- No need to contrast agents and being non
- invasive
- Proper for the study on children and people with contrast agent restriction
- Investigation of slow variations in neurons activities due to mood, mental set, learning, cognitive function
- Quantitative brain blood flow measurement (ml/100g of tissue/ min)
