some characteristics of the Arterial Spin Labeling kind of perfusion images:

  • Display of variation and staging a lesion on the primarily changes
  • No need to contrast agents and being non
  • invasive
  • Proper for the study on children and people with contrast agent restriction
  • Investigation of slow variations in neurons activities due to mood, mental set, learning, cognitive function
  • Quantitative brain blood flow measurement (ml/100g of tissue/ min)
