The workshop on Psychophysics and Psychotoolbox Was Conducted

The one day workshop on psychophysics and psychotoolbox was conducted by NBML and hosted guests from engineering fields, mathematics, physics, statistics, computer science and etc. This workshop was held on October 18th 2018, and was instructed by Dr. Hossein Vahabi and Pouya Pakarian.

The main objective of the workshop was to familiarize participants with the following topics: Psychometric Function with Regression, the importance of Weibull distribution in psychophysics, different models of threshold, the concept of the sensitivity function and JND as orthogonal intersection point, psychometric and sensitivity function, equations, codes, and a few visual stimuli' applications (Gabor wavelet, spiral, pinwheel, RDK, missing fundamental, motion quadrature), and accurately scheduling visual stimulus by synchronizing it with monitor refresh.

Participants should have laptops and after installing the MATLAB program, they downloaded the toolbox from http://psychtoolbox.org and installed it in MATLAB.
