The second annual meeting of the national brain mapping student branch was held at the ISBM 2019 side on 1st May 2019 at the TUMS Central Headquarter building with the aim of gathering students interested in brain mapping.
The second annual meeting of the national brain mapping student branch was held at the ISBM 2019 side on 1st May 2019 at the TUMS Central Headquarter building with the aim of gathering students interested in brain mapping.
During this meeting, Dr. Ay, the Director of NBML explained NBML’s perspectives and mentioned the NBMS’s capacities, as the first student branch of Iran in brain mapping, to reach these purposes. Also, Dr. Ghadiri, the Deputy of NBML described the methods of student collaboration with the lab and facilities provided for them. Following, Mr. Dadjoo, the Manager of NBMS introduced the NBMS specialized work groups and presented the annual performance report.
After that, Dr. Abdolhosein Abbasian (from IPM) lectured on the applied aspects of brain mapping in cognitive sciences and brain field. He emphasized various applied aspects of this field and its interdisciplinary nature. Dr. Maryam Vaziri, post-doc students at Harvard University, who participated in this meeting as a guest of honor, mentioned some points on the characteristics of the proper cognitive methods in the field of brain and cognition.
At this meeting, in addition to displaying film on the brain imaging methods, competition on the challenging ideas in the field of brain and cognition was held, and winners were awarded. Also, the directors of NBMS specialized work groups were appreciated.
