4th National Cognitive Neuroscience Summer School on August 11-16, 2018
NBML held the 4th Cognitive Neurosciences Summer School in cooperation with Iranian Neuroscience Society, support of the Cognitive Sciences and Technology Council and contribution of dominant professors of this area on August 11-16, 2018.
NBML held the 4th Cognitive Neurosciences Summer School in cooperation with Iranian Neuroscience Society, support of the Cognitive Sciences and Technology Council and contribution of dominant professors of this area on August 11-16, 2018.
This school was held with the aims of introducing new technologies of cognitive neurosciences and brain mapping, students’ empowerment and teamwork spirit enhancement as well as to emphasize on interdisciplinary thinking and use it in this area. This summer school was held with the presence of students of medical sciences, pure sciences, psychology and engineering in bachelor, master, and Ph.D degrees.
The Brain and Cognition Clinic, Brilliant Talent Secretary of Iran University of Medical Sciences and Sadra Neuroscience Association also participated in this workshop.
The school started at NBML, with the speech of Dr. Mohammad Reza Ay (the Head of NBML), Dr. Abharian (the Board Member of the Neuroscience Association). Then, the participants’ introductory meeting was held.
During 6 days, professional courses with various subjects was held at NBML, Iran University of Medical Sciences and Brain and Cognition Clinic with the followings order:
Sensation and perception, consciousness and attention by Dr. Anahita Khorami, research in neurosciences and teamwork with the neuroscience approach by Dr. Panahi and Sina Tavakoli, learning and memory by Dr. Hatami, brain practical autopsy by Dr. Golchini, thought and language by Dr. Nili pour, vision by Dr. Rajimehr, cognitive rehabilitation by Dr.Rezapour, neuromarketing by Dr. Samak-Nejad, neuroimaging by Dr. Khaligh-Razavi, philosophy of mind by Dr. Mosmer, social cognition by Dr. Mokhtari, congnitive modelling and artificial intelligence by Dr. Khosroabadi, cognitive aspects of neurological diseases by Dr. Parvaresh
Meanwhile, group discussion meetings were held after courses and participants also visited different parts of NBML.
At the end, students practical evaluation was conducted and valid certifications of NBML and Iran University of Medical Sciences were awarded to them.
