The gold medal of the International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders was given to the Iranian professor
The faculty member of the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences won the gold medal of the International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders.
The faculty member of the Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences won the gold medal of the International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders. Dr. Mehri Salari, the Neurologist and Parkinson’s fellow, said about this congress: “the rare and hard to diagnose diseases was presented at the International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders which held annually attended by thousands of participant among physicians, researchers, and interests in research and diagnostic approaches and movement disorders.”
She said about a rare disease presented by Iran at this congress:” The patient was a three-year-old child with hereditary Parkinson’s disease. This disease is very rare and diagnosed for the first time in Iran.”
The neurologist found the early diagnosis an effective solution for better treatment of the inherited Parkinson’s disease and note:” this disease is curable and if children get to be treated at an earlier age, they will not have mental or movement disorders in the future.”
