One-day theoretical-practical workshop on introduction to transcranial electrical stimulation (tES), was held as the 13th side event of the second symposium on brain mapping updates, on October 5th, by the National Brain Mapping Lab (NBML).

One-day theoretical-practical workshop on introduction to transcranial electrical stimulation (tES), was held as the 13th side event of the second symposium on brain mapping updates, on October 5th, by the National Brain Mapping Lab (NBML).

This workshop that hosted 25 people, was taught by Dr. Anahita Khorrami and Narges Sadegh Beigi and contained the following topics:

  • Introduction to transcranial electrical stimulation and its advantages and disadvantages
  • History of the development of brain stimulation techniques
  • Introduction to different types, physiology, and mechanism of the effects of tDCS and TMS
  • Introduction to the applications of brain stimulation techniques in research and rehabilitation
  • Practical training of locating different brain points with the help of the 10-20 system and the EEG cap
  • Practical training of how to work with tDCS device

Registration in this workshop was done for participants of the symposium with a 50% discount.
