3rd Meeting of the Cognitive Neuroscience Workgroup

The National Brain Mapping Lab's Student Branch (IBMS) consists of different workgroups which hold scientific meetings every month to share and update their knowledge. The 3rd meeting of the cognitive neuroscience workgroup was held on June 19, 2019, at NBML and hosted students and enthusiasts. Dr. Zahra Inaloo, Mohsen Dadjou, and Mohammad Hossein Sorayani, Director of the cognitive neuroscience workgroup, participated at this event. The subject of this meeting was "The Imaged Brain", the 4th chapter of the book ‘The Student's Guide to Cognitive Neuroscience', which was presented by M.H. Sorayani. Then, Dr. Zahra Inaloo shared her views and ideas about the formation of research teams and the synergy of interdisciplinary cognitive neuroscience knowledge, which was well received by the audience.

Structural and functional imaging, such as fMRI and PET and CT scan, and their physical principles, and also different approaches to designing tasks for the lab, analysis and interpretation of data, and common challenges in this field of work were discussed in this meeting.

At the end of the session, Mr. Dadjou answered the raised questions.
