National researchers succeeded in tracking drugs through a rat brain using fluorescent imaging at TUMS Preclinical Core Facility.

The study was first performed to check the drug uptake correctness through the brain tissue using the optical imaging system for drug tracking. Researchers used Nanoparticles labeled by fluorescent. After being injected, the subject was scanned at different time intervals for drug tracking. Obtained images and signal enhancement in the brain indicate the correct uptake of the brain. Of course, this study is still being continued at the lab for checking the other variables.
