The following topics taught by Dr. Masoud Nosratabadi through this workshop:
- Introduction to neurofeedback(definition, aims, history and development process, the underlying assumptions and logic of the neurofeedback function)
- Neurofeedback related hardware and software_ technical and non-technical expressions
- finding points based on the 10-20 system _ EEG basic concepts
- Proper electrodes attachment with the least resistance and high quality brain signal record, artifacts types, how to detect and remove them
- Primarily EEG analysis; obtaining the exact and real values of various brain waves and their relation to behavior
- Introduction to QEEG: assemblies, absolute power, relative power, asymmetry, coherence, normal database and etc.
- Assemblies types in neuro feedback(unipolar, bipolar, single channel, two channel, and multi-channel), introduction to baseline and assessment
- Analysis and reports presentation on baseline and comprehensive evaluation-practical training
- Introduction to treatment windows (brain waves, thresholds and feedback types)
- Treatment protocol- section 1: introduction to ADHD treatment protocol, anxiety and depression disorders
- Treatment protocol- section 2: introduction to ADHD treatment protocol, anxiety and depression disorders-practical training
- The therapist role in neurofeedback, clinical and ethical considerations, professional communication, suitable and inappropriate clients for neurofeedback treatment
