The extensive visual information available for researchers by Eye-tracker devices, has made these systems into one of the most important research tools in the fields of behavior and decision making. Tracking an individual’s eye path as well as changes in the pupil size, provide precious information about presence, attention, concentration and other individual’s mental and cognitive states, which may lead to the deep insight of human behavior.

Regarding the importance and application of these systems, NBML held the eye tracker workshop incorporation with Daj Scientific Group in both theoretical and practical sections on August 2, 2018. The theoretical and practical sections was taught by Dr. Anahita Khorami and the technical team of Daj Scientific Group, respectively.

Through this workshop, participations were introduced to the eye’s structure as well as eye tracking principles. Also, the application of eye tracker systems in various research areas and major considerations in setting up an experiment were discussed. Finally, the required hardware for registration and analysis was introduced and the practical implementation of registration and explanation were carried out as well as implementing of the preliminary analysis.
