The first cognitive rehabilitation garden for elderly was launched in Iran.

The Jahandidegan house in Sari city was launched as the first cognitive rehabilitation garden for elderly with the participation of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran University of Medical Sciences and the Sari municipality so as to screen and prevent cognitive disorders in elderly and promoting their mental health as well as educating to have healthy old age.

During this ceremony Dr. Mohammad Taghi Joghtaei, the Minister of Health Rehabilitation, Dr. Maryam Noroozian, the Founder of the first Memory and Behavioral Department in Iran and Dr. Seyed Abbas Mousavi, the Head of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences presented lecturers on the aims of launching this center as well as preventing cognitive disorders and rehabilitation in elderly.
