The final round of the fifth national brain knowledge competition (Brain Bee 2019)

The first round of the fifth national brain knowledge competition participated by over three thousands 13 to 18 years old students, through which 32 students qualified to enter the second round, was held.

The first round of the fifth national brain knowledge competition participated by over three thousands 13 to 18 years old students, through which 32 students qualified to enter the second round, was held.

The 32 qualifiers of the first round competed at Iran University of Medical Sciences on 11-12 July 2019 in 4 phases of multiple choice, long answer, practical brain autopsy, and practical diagnosis in neurological and psychiatric diseases. Ms. Kamand Sofi-Abadi, who won the top score, was declared as the Iran exponent at the 2019 Brain Bee world championship. The closing ceremony and introducing winner was also held on the second day at the Tehran Book Garden, with the presence of the board members of the Iranian Neuroscience Society, the Directors of NBML, Experts of the Cognitive Sciences and Technologies Council, a number of professors at the Iran University of Medical Sciences, teachers and students’ parents and enthusiastic audiences. Dr. Gholam-Ali Hossein-Zadeh, the Sciences and Technology Deputy of NBML, also lectured at the closing ceremony.

The 2019 Brain Bee world championship will be held in September 2019 in South Korea.
